課程概述 |
本課程以班恩的《浪子》為翻譯工作對象。透過閱讀、討論與每週翻譯實作，引導同學認識復辟時期喜劇，並熟悉劇本翻譯的技藝。
阿法爾∙班 (Aphra Behn)為西方戲劇史上第一位職業女劇作家，也是英國十七世紀重要作家，一生充滿傳奇色彩。《浪子:流亡的騎士》為班恩的代表劇作，劇分五幕。收錄在不少英語的戲劇選集當中，在國外也常被搬演，但目前卻尚無中譯本。此劇除了可以看出典型的復辟時期喜劇特色，也有細膩鮮活的女性刻劃，並呈現男性劇作家視角之外的女性形象與困境，值得吾人關注。 |

課程目標 |
劇本的翻譯訓練需要嫻熟舞台語言與劇場語言，更要學習翻譯創作的技法。因此，本課程乃戲劇學系與外文系翻譯學程的老師共授，帶領學生進入劇本翻譯的世界。學生依每週翻譯進度完成作業，在課堂上分享與討論，預計在學期結束之前完成全劇雛型，學期末另有翻譯作品的讀劇呈現。 |
